A view from the outside

February 10, 2007

Am currently watching Barack Obama announcing his candidacy for the Presidential Election in 2008. Some initial observations..

1. He’s not an orator. He stands there spouting populist sentiment, but his heart is not in it. He seems detached.

2. He comes to Iraq late, but hard. Claiming that resolving Iraq will resolve all other American issues is a bit too much.

But one is inclined to believe him. He’s believable, i’ll give him that much. Lets see how he stacks up against the Big Hillary. I would love to see the first black President of the United States, but is he what the country needs?

EDIT: His middle name is Hussein! The 2008 race is going to be very exciting!
